Such a tank should either be dug inside the ground to qualify it as underground water tank or you should follow the rules of overhead water tank and place it in south west zone.



Vastu mantras for underground water tank in South West zone

For best vastu benefit, avoid any new property or design in which the underground water tank is present in the south west zone. But suppose this orientation is present in your existing home or office building then doing remedy is the only option.
